Die Münzer Bioindustrie GmbH betreibt im Wiener Ölhafen Lobau die größte zentraleuropäische Produktionsanlage für ökologisch nachhaltigen Biodiesel mit einer jährlichen Produktionskapazität von 140.000 Tonnen. Im Paltental wird eine Anlage mit 66.000 Tonnen pro Jahr betrieben. Dabei legt sie den Fokus auf die Verwertung von Abfällen zu Energie und setzt daher umfangreiche Mengen an Altspeisefetten als Rohstoff für die Produktion ihres hochqualitativen Biodiesels ein. Münzer Bioindustrie runs two biodiesel factories in Austria. One located in the habour of Vienna with 140.000mt yearly capacity and on in Paltental with 66.000mt yearly capacity. The facilities are running mainly for the mineral oil industry based on vegetable and waste oils. Münzer is running an own Used Cooking Oil collection in Austria providing service to more than 3.200 restaurants.
