Stove Shipping is a privately-owned company incorporated in Norway and managed from our office outside Oslo. Stove Shipping was established in 1959 as an operating company for the ship owning interests of the Tidemand family and has been managed by the family for three generations. Shipping has formed part of the tradition for the Tidemand family, tracing back to the 19th century when it first entered the business We invest in and own bulk carriers, trading in the worldwide dry cargo market. Our mission is to deliver high quality and relationship-driven transportation services, with an aim to create value for our shareholders and partners. Stove Shipping strives to offer a quality service with vessels built and maintained to the highest standards. The safety of those employed by and around us, both onboard and ashore, is paramount. Our primary business is the management of our shipping investments within the segments of handysize, handymax and supramax bulk carriers. We engage in projects for newbuildings and second-hand vessels and, as a function of the cyclical nature of our industry, we strive to make investment and divestment decisions supporting the long-term growth of our company. From the turn of the millennium, Stove Shipping has continued as a privately held shipowning company with a fleet of geared bulk carriers and Eastern Bulk was established as a worldwide operating company within handysize and handymax dry cargo markets.
