Sonaco was founded 1990 and actively started trading ferro alloys and raw materials 1996. Our office is in Sweden, our major market area is Northern Europe. We are active world wide and use our extensive network of relationships with producers, end-consumers and other customers via agents/representatives in many countries. Sonaco is a trading and service company and an intermediary acting as agent, distributor, stockholder and proprietary trader. We offer commodities on spot or long term price formula basis. Logistical services include warehousing, consignment stock, just in time deliveries, crushing, sieving and packing. We keep stocks in Sweden, Finland and Holland and other locations in Europe. During 2010 Sonaco took in Gunnar Setterwall Trading AB (GST), a seller of equipment to the mining, minerals and metallurgical industries and semis to fabricators. Sonaco has been profitable every year since the beginning. We are constantly looking for new business opportunities and are willing to be investors or take equity stakes in projects in the industries and business areas we are active in. We are interested in new proposals: equity participation, off-take and pre-financing agreements, long term financing or handling of supply contracts. Our strategy, ambition and goal is to grow by servicing the industries we are active in. We take a long-term view in the physical trading of raw materials. Sonaco is privately owned which guarantees a fast decision making process.
