We launched CMME back in 2004. Our founder, Sat, was working as a contractor in 2000 and surprised by how hard it was for self-employed people to get a mortgage. There was clearly a gap in the market, and he decided to follow his instincts, backed by his skills and experience and set up on his own. We are one of the UK's longest established specialist brokers for contractors and, from a small start, with a tight-knit team, we've built a reputation for delivering mortgages and delighting customers. The experience of starting-up and going out on our own left a big impression on us and, as we worked with more contractors, freelancers and consultants, it quickly became clear just how inspiring and liberating it can be to take the leap and go independent.
