Tails of the Trail is a non-profit organization founded in May 2015 where community volunteers partner with animal shelters/rescues to hike shelter dogs. We exercise and socialize shelter dogs, reducing kennel stress and euthanasia rates while raising community awareness and adoptions. We also operate Freedom Ride, a dog relocation service, whereby we transport at-risk dogs out of Middle TN shelters to underserved geographies in the Midwest and East; typically finding new homes in under 14 days.
