www.uaerep.ae The UAE Research Program for Rain Enhancement Science is an initiative of the Ministry of Presidential Affairs (MoPA), managed by the National Center for Meteorology and Seismology (NCMS) and aligned with the UAE Innovation Strategy. Aiming to expand global water security through promoting scientific best practices and collaboration in rain enhancement research, the program will identify scientifically verified and sustainably implementable methods of enhancing precipitation to increase rainfall in the UAE, as well as other arid and semi-arid areas in the region. Towards this priority, the program invites innovative research and technology proposals from domestic or foreign, public or private, non-profit or for-profit organizations and, in some cases, individuals. The $5 million dollar program will support up to five awards annually. It is anticipated that the awards will be valued up to $1.5 million each, and dispersed over a three year period. All awards will be selected by a two-stage merit review process, and announced in January 2016 following which a new cycle will commence. Contact UAEREP: info@uaerep.ae
