ECHOES OF MADAGASCAR
www.echoesofmadagascar.orgLance and I wanted to start a nonprofit organization in 2009 to help those in need. Since I was born and raised in Madagascar the decision of where to devote our efforts was an easy one. We believe that through Echoes we can assist in improving the quality of life of many families and communities by helping them become self-sufficient. This is accomplished by teaching them to use their existing resources, and how to turn those resources into a sustainable source of income, offering educational opportunity to their children, and by implementing different programs. These programs include farming, health and wellness education and awareness. Their hope is that through Echoes of Madagascar they can reach out to those who want to join them in this journey and help bring hope for the future generations by getting involved in different projects and supporting Echoes missions. Training and equipping leaders are a big part of our organization's programs. We are reaching out to 2000 to 3000 leaders a year from 20 to 30 communities a year. Since we started to implement a new program with our Kids Club in 2016, we have seen such great progress in the kids' life, which also brings positive impacts on their family. We hold monthly conferences for the kids' parents equipping them on how to build holy families. We partner with these families during our quarterly community outreaches whether we are doing food drives, clothes drives, conferences, community-wide cleaning, school drives, tree planting and many other activities. It has been quite an amazing journey. We certainly had ups and downs but overall, we are growing on the personal level and also in our outreaches. We are so thankful for all the support throughout those years that allowed us to do what we are called to do and to continually grow in that path.
