Otonabee Conservation is a watershed-based, non-profit environmental organization that helps ensure the conservation, restoration, and responsible management of water, land, and natural habitats through programs and services that balance human, environmental, and economic needs. The organization was formed in 1959 under the Conservation Authorities Act, and is governed by the municipalities within the boundaries of its watershed jurisdiction, which includes the municipalities of Asphodel-Norwood, Cavan Monaghan, Douro-Dummer, Otonabee-South Monaghan, Selwyn, Trent Hills and the City of Peterborough and City of Kawartha Lakes (in whole or in part). Otonabee Conservation is one of 36 conservation authorities operating in Ontario and a member of Conservation Ontario.
