China Array Plastics, founded in 2006, is a US owned, ISO 9001:2008 and AS9100C (aerospace/automotive) certified, full service injection molder specializing in high performance and ultra polymers with engineering offices in Pittsfield, MA and a wholly owned injection molding and tooling facility in Wuhan, China. Costing 5 to 50 times more than standard plastics, high performance thermoplastics possess unique properties that fill unique niches in a range of industries: aerospace, medical, electronics, oil & gas, semiconductors, wireless, alternative energy, and others. OEM's are willing to pay a premium to insure that a polymer's properties are fully realized in the finished good. A quality HPP molder is a bridge between OEM customers and the resin manufacturers. China Array has established rigorous and consistent quality control systems. The firm is ISO 9001:2016 & AS9100C (aerospace) Certified, and is one of three certified Torlon molders in China: one of 54 worldwide. Torlon is a remarkable material with the highest strength of any thermoplastic, continuous use temperatures of up to 275°C (525°F) and friction coefficients similar to Teflon without PTFE additives. Torlon requires specialized equipment, molds, processing and curing expertise for production. Hence the certification requirements.
