Breakpoint One (BPO) is an innovative technology company from Berlin and specializes in sophisticated developments of customer-specific software and hardware. BPO sees itself not only as a partner in the development of company-specific solutions, but also as a think tank in the development of its own innovative prototypes, which are tested for market suitability and further developed. BPO is particularly specialized in real-time visualizations in the field of AR and VR. In this area, own products are developed and published. For Virtual Reality, BPO also researches and develops in the area of Big Data visualization. Together with universities, plant researchers and plant breeders, it is investigating how AR and VR can be used in the field of plant research to make the large amounts of heterogeneous data more accessible and thus gain new insights from the data more quickly. A first product from this research project is the VR experience "VR Plant Journey", which aims to bring the topic of biology and plant research closer to children.
