The City of Delphi serves a community of 3,000 providing street maintenance, water and wastewater services, and maintenance of public parks. The City is administered by an elected Mayor and Clerk-Treasurer and a City Council consisting of five members elected by the public. An appointed Board of Public Works and Safety approves claims and oversees the park system. The City boasts 14 miles of historic trails, six public parks, and architectural gems. The Delphi Courthouse Square Historic District (NR: 2010) boasts nearly 42 contributing buildings, many of which date to the mid-to-late 1800s.
