In 1945, Jack and Dorothy Yandell started their trucking operation in Oakland, California, with a vision to offer exceptional service in a safe and positive work environment for drivers. It has been with these notions in mind that John Yandell Jr. has led the company into the 21st century. Our mission since 1945 has been to provide our customers with unbeatable service, while maintaining a high level of safety and professionalism in the trucking & warehousing industries. We operate 500,000 of food grade square feet to offer our clients a supply chain solution to decrease shipping costs and maximize customer satisfaction. In the early 1970s, John realized there was a need for a warehousing division to better service their already existing customers. Santa Clara Warehouses, Inc. was soon born, and has developed into a major player in the Northern California warehousing industry. Yandell Truckaway Inc. and Santa Clara Warehouses Inc. give wine, food, and beverage industries "one-stop shopping," for transportation and storage. In 2005, the third generation of the Yandell Truckaway, Inc. family business was incepted, with Alicia Yandell, daughter of John, joining the business. Today, after more than 70 years in business, our points of service have expanded throughout Northern California, the Central Valley, the Central Coast, and the Los Angeles Basin.
