Our mission is to build a city-wide network to create a compassionate and strategic response to support families experiencing loss due violence. Our response model, based upon models from other major cities, includes two main initiatives: (1) a public website with a database of organizations for referrals, resource guides, a crisis team, a hotline, city-wide calendar of events, and space to memorialize the lives of loved ones lost and (2) a consortia for families, community organizations, Chicago leaders, and academia for networking, sharing of resources and training workshops in support of this mission.
