She Can Play
www.shecanplay.ukOur philosophy is simple, we want more girls and women to play & stay in Football. At She Can Play we believe creating a positive learning environment is essential for player development. We facilitate this by employing professional female role models; our coaches. We believe role models play a pivotal role for girls choosing to play Football, this is why our Regional Coaches all represent teams in the Women’s Super League or the Women’s Premier League. In 2017 She Can Play were delighted to be approached by Essex FA to deliver their Player Development Centre (PDC). The centre compliments the training of the girls existing grassroots clubs and consists of four teams from U10-16. The PDC supports and develops all players for a potential transition into the Essex RTC thus forming part of The FA’s Elite Player Pathway. In addition, She Can Play formed an Academy that transitions into the PDC. ‘For the first time in history this generation of girls can choose role models that are full time professional footballers that play in a professional league. It’s vital that we all support the WSL and the WSL players because girls and women’s Football would not be where it is today without them.’ Kat Clifton Founder of She Can Play
