Blue Sky Retreat at San Geronimo is located in enchanting Taos, New Mexico. We are a boutique B&B and mindfulness-movement retreat center. We believe that the best way to reconnect to yourself is to disconnect from the chaos and step into nature. We sit on 2.5 acres with a meditation labyrinth and walking path, plus a seasonal outdoor heated pool and year-round hot tub. We are 30 minutes from Taos Ski Valley and we are nestled up to the edge of Kit Carson National Forest. We offer a healthy, delicious breakfast. San Geronimo Lodge was built by the Witt Family in 1925 as the first resort hotel in Taos. The common rooms and 18 guest rooms were constructed over the family's 19th century farm house. They owned around 100 acres of property along the banks of the Acequia Madre, with views of Taos Mountain and what is Carson National Forest today. Originally a dude ranch for well-to-do vacationers, San Geronimo offered horseback riding out of its own corral, fishing in its trout filled lake, tennis courts, golfing, and fruit orchards producing apples, cherries, peaches, apricots, plums, and pears. Eventually, the Witt family sold the property and over the next few decades, new owners gradually sold off most of the acreage. Today, the lodge sits on around 2.5 acres of preserved land. The current owners purchased in December of 2015 after many family vacations to northern New Mexico. We are yoga teachers and studio owners from Houston, TX. We felt a sense of homecoming upon each return here and were renewed by its enchanting landscape, its people and its spirit. We like to dream big and Blue Sky Retreat is a huge part of our dreams.
