Our Mission: Little Lobbyists seek to protect and expand the rights of children who have complex medical needs through advocacy, education, and outreach. The Little Lobbyists are a group of families who have kids with complex medical needs. We visit Capitol Hill to make the voices of families like ours heard. Our goal, in light of the ongoing healthcare debate, is to bring attention to the medical needs of kids like ours by making a visible impact and showing up in-person so legislators and their staff can see our kids and their trachs, ventilators, oxygen tanks, feeding tubes, wheelchairs, and more. But, most importantly, we want people to see that our kids are just KIDS; they go to school, love to play, are funny, kind, mischievous, amazing, and deserve access to the health care, education, and community inclusion they need to grow up to live their best lives.
