Brian K. McCarthy is an executive coach specializing in helping high potential professionals achieve their organizational and career goals. Coaching Credentials: Brian is a graduate of the Columbia University Executive Coaching Certificate Program and a certified practitioner of several assessments, including the Meyers-Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI), Strengthsfinder, Hogan Personality Assessment, OSI 360 feedback, Thomas-Kilmann Conflict Inventory, and the Emotional and Social Competency Inventory (ESCI). Over the past eight years, he has coached over 300 business professionals. Academic Career: As a member of the full-time faculty in the Portland State University MBA Program, Brian coaches MBA students and teach Leadership Development, Business Communications, Global Marketing, and Selling and Sales Leadership. He has received the Oregon Executive MBA Teaching Excellence Award nine times. Corporate Experience: During his 15-year corporate career, Brian was the general manager of a sales, marketing and consulting business unit at the Microsoft Corporation. He also held a number of other management positions at Microsoft, including Group Marketing Manager and National Channel Manager.  Prior to joining Microsoft, he was a sales representative at IBM. Education: BA in history and an MBA in finance & marketing from the University of Washington.
