Established in 2014, the Green Climate Fund (GCF)'s Independent Evaluation Unit (IEU) plays a crucial role in leading the evaluation and learning function of the GCF. The IEU has 3 core objectives: 1) Inform the Board's decision making, synthesise lessons learned and guide the GCF and its stakeholders. 2) Undertake and deliver high quality and independent evaluations of the GCF's performance, activities, and results. 3) Inform the UNFCCC and the Paris agreement.
