For the purposes of establishing university, advanced technology institute, conservatory, research and application center, academy and equivalent schools and giving scholarship to students of all age groups and with the ideal of raising individuals who are beneficial both to our country and all the humankind in general, Sistem Education and Culture Foundation started its activities on July 5, 2007 in accordance with the principles specified in Universal Declaration of Human Rights. The main purpose of our foundation which brings together the preeminent entrepreneurs and academicians of our country, is to raise our nation to the level of contemporary civilizations on the path drawn by Great Leader Mustafa Kemal Atatürk. In order to realize its establishment goals, the Board of Trustees of the Foundation at the meeting on March, 30 2008 has decided to establish a foundation university named as “Süleyman Şah University” in Istanbul in pursuance of article 130 of the constitution and the provisions of Law no. 2547. In accordance with the Law Regarding the Amendments on the Organization of Higher Education Institutions Law no. 5981 which was accepted on April, 15 2010 and published on official gazette dated April 24, 2010, as being subject to provisions of foundation higher education institutions of Higher Education Law no. 2547 and owing public entity, our university was established as “Süleyman Şah University” was established by Sistem Education and Culture Foundation. Sistem Education and Culture Foundation has started its activities with the ideal of raising individuals beneficial to our nation and whole humanity in accordance with the principles specified in Universal Declaration of Human Rights.
