Alpha College was established in 1989 and has continuously sought to provide English Language Training of a consistently high standard. Alpha is recognised by ACELS, is a member of MEI; is a full member of both EAQUALS and IALC. These memberships require the school to undergo rigorous inspections and guarantee quality in ELT. Alpha College is recognised by ACELS as an ELT training centre so our teacher trainers work with our teachers to ensure up-to-date teaching methodology. Alpha offers General English in 20, 25 and 30 lesson formats; General English + General Business English; FCE preparation; General English + Work Experience (unpaid internship) programmes and Overseas Teachers' Courses and we also like to get involved in programmes that are specific to some groups. We offer 2 junior summer programmes - one residential and one host family-based in July. Both are located in Dublin. In Alpha College we also offer a full time 4 week CELT/TEFL course accredited by ACELS. This course is an excellent way to learn how to teach English as a foreign language and either work in Ireland or travel the world as this qualification is internationally recognised.
