Founder of Dimmblá, Heiðrún Ósk Sigfúsdóttir was inspired to become a conscious consumer in 2013 when she realised how our increased purchase behaviour and tendency to keep clothing for a shorter period has a drastic effect on the environment. When her mother was young fast fashion didn't even exist. Her mother had clothes in her wardrobe that she had used for years and still looked new. The clothes were passed on to Heiðrún and she loved them because she had memory attached to them and they had a purpose. Inspired by the quality, uniqueness and craftmanship of clothes from the past she founded Dimmblá.
