SIMONSIG WINE ESTATE The pursuit of wine excellence knows no boundaries at Simonsig Wine Estate, the legendary Stellenbosch landmark where family tradition and innovation have fuelled four decades of quality winemaking. Named after the awe-inspiring views of the Simonsberg, Simonsig is blessed with a moderate maritime climate and quintessential terroir that effortlessly imparts its distinct quality to all our wines. Simonsig pioneered many South African "firsts", including producing the first Méthode Cap Classique and being the co-founder of the Stellenbosch Wine Route. Founded by patriarch Frans Malan in 1953, Simonsig Wine Estate is one of the country’s most awarded cellars today. South Africa’s Top Shiraz producer, Woman Winemaker of the Year 2005 and four ABSA Top Ten Pinotage triumphs are just some of the many accomplishments.
