Norris Environmental LLC
www.norrisenvironmentalllc.comHistory of Norris Environmental LLC In 1992, after having worked at my first professional career position for three years, I found the doors of the company were closing. I had always heard that to start a business, one needed to have at least $10,000 and be able to live without any income for at least a year. Faced with unemployment and a need to support my family, I began doing some small consulting projects for several clients. I quickly realized that all one needed to be successful in private consulting was to be a fearless opportunist with a willingness to learn and a desire to serve. I started working as a sole proprietor under the name of Norris Environmental in December of 1992, providing environmental, regulatory and project management services to several private companies, local city and county governments conducting work across the US. In 2001, I saw the need to be incorporated and so Norris Environmental LLC was born. Over the years, I have kept the company alive and in good standing with the State of Colorado. At times, I have gone to work as a direct employee for companies who needed my services in house. Norris Environmental lived on a shelf in my home office during those periods, until such time as I found myself needing to pull it back off the shelf and keep busy providing value to clients. The experiences and skill sets I have been able to develop working within large corporations on global scale teams, and intermediate sized producers in the energy industry in lead positions, have honed my mindset to know and understand the business drivers behind company decisions. Those skills are brought to bear on all my projects whether they are small inspection projects, permitting facilities or acting as the Owners Manager on large capital projects in the form of a partner adding additional value throughout the project rather than just acting as a service provider. The end goal has always been the completion of projects in alignment with the needs of the client. Over the years I have discovered that the difficult takes a while and the impossible takes a little longer.
