Eastern Region Association of Forest and Nature Schools (ERAFANS)

www.erafans.org

The Eastern Region Association of Forest and Nature Schools (ERAFANS) is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that provides nature-based training to educators, caregivers, and administrators. In turn, they facilitate meaningful nature-based learning with young children. We offer professional development to existing programs like nature preschools, forest kindergartens, and nature-based schools as well as public and private schools, nature centers, home school centers, parks and recreation departments, child care centers, daycare, and the like. Wherever children are, we are. We know that to help children connect with the natural world, we must support those who facilitate their learning experiences. ERAFANS offers professional development all over the Eastern seaboard (Outdoor Teacher Retreats, workshops, and our annual Natural Wonder Summit). We also offer online courses to make nature-based learning accessible and affordable. Memberships to ERAFANS provide support and help off-set the costs of training. ERAFANS members always receive discounts on professional development.
