Mitali Rannorey, a model, who is considered to be one of the top names in fashion, was always in love with the exquisite sarees of the country's top fashion designers: Sabyasachi, Tarun Tahiliani, Rohit Bal, Anamika Khanna, Ritu Kumar, Shantanu & Nikhil, Raghavendra Rathore and many many more. Her career as a professional model took her to places far and wide. But she fell in love with, and in, Kolkata. She got married in Kolkata and every gathering saw her husband's mother, sisters, 'mashi', 'pishi' dressed in awe inspiring sarees. She was in love all over again! After the celebrations, she was in Mumbai for work and wanted to gift sarees to her friends and relatives. Ofcourse she found many online sites but nothing to her taste. Some were too expensive and others didn't provide a fantastic gifting experience. She wanted to change that. Her plan was in motion when some of the country's top experts helped her in curating a beautiful collection of jamdani, banarasi, kanjivaram and taant sarees sourced directly from the weavers. All delivered in a luxurious dove grey and gold embossed gift box. Possibly the only one to do so. She named it after a beautiful bengali expression for being awestruck: OMAAGO!
