The Lucky Voice story began with a 20 hour singing marathon between friends in Tokyo. Enthralled with the experience, Martha Lane Fox (the Baroness of Soho and founder of lastminute.com) and Nick Thistleton decided to bring the concept of Karaoke bars to London, and in the Summer of 2005, opened their first private karaoke venue in Soho, London. Lucky Voice took the concept of a karaoke bar and aligned it with London style chic ambiance, becoming an institution overnight, and receiving wide acclaim from both the press & public. Following their roaring success in Soho, Lucky Voice went on to open additional venues across the UK.
