CLAY CROSSING FOUNDATION
www.claycrossing.comEvery accomplishment starts with the decision to try! We have a documented history of success and a genuine commitment to help residents overcome obstacles on their road to recovery. Over 15 years ago, our location was intentionally selected. Far away from chaos, yet close enough for family involvement. Spiritual growth is encouraged and the natural setting of our 400 acre Ranch, provides residents with an opportunity to quietly reflect and develop a deeper sense of spirituality. TREATMENT Our counselors will work with each client to understand the importance of the following aspects: Identification of Spiritual, mental, emotional, social, and physical needs Identification of motives for his use, and when/why use became unmanageable Development of management of his own emotions, and face life head on Development of life skills, new hobbies, and ways to spend free time Reconnection of the client and his family Rebuilding a deeper connection with God through Christian principles Clay Crossing is a co-occurring (dual diagnosis) residential treatment facility. Co-occurring means there are underlying issues that accompany substance misuse disorders, such as depression, anxiety, trauma, family issues. COUNSELING Each person who comes to Clay Crossing is unique, with specific issues he needs to address. We seek to match each person with the counselor best suited for him and develop a treatment plan to best meet his needs. We see redeemable qualities in those we serve and strive to help them regain their self-worth and self-image. CASE MANAGEMENT From the beginning, our case manager/counselor is involved in assisting clients and often their family, with a variety of matters, advocating with DHS, criminal courts, addressing physical health issues, and preparing for a healthy transition by setting up aftercare. We make a long-term commitment to those who come to Clay Crossing. Recovery is a journey, not a destination. If needed, our Alumni can return for a 30 day relapse prevention program without charge within the first year. We want our alumni to be successful and our counselors are dedicated to helping them and their families enjoy the life they deserve. RESIDENTIAL TREATMENT Residential treatment provides a multidisciplinary approach to addiction recovery for those who need a safe place/environment to address a variety of issues in their current setting. An environment such as the ranch, allows a person to step away from the environment that has too often kept them trapped in addictive behaviors and escalating family problems, vocational struggles, legal issues, etc. For us, safety means a sense of safety within, with others, and within a safe community. Clay Crossing offers a structured treatment environment in which our residents experience the kind of change that is described as a “spiritual awakening”. As a faith-based facility we believe that spirituality is a key to successful recovery. Sanctuary is an appropriate word to describe Clay Crossing—a safe place where the divine and human elements are bound together, a place where one experiences healing and transformation.
