The Witham is an arts centre at the heart of Barnard Castle, Teesdale offering a wealth of entertainment and events for communities and commerce. The Witham’s mission is to provide all with the opportunity to experience, participate & be excited by great art & culture. The arts centre includes a music hall with seating for up to 250, Visitor Information Point for Barnard Castle the Shop, Café Bar, Art Gallery and rooms for hire to businesses and community groups. Events at The Witham include live music, theatre, film, dance and spoken word gigs including screenings from the RSC, National Theatre, Royal Ballet and more. Weekly workshops and classes run in term time including Meditation, Pilates, Wiggles and Wobbles, Turrets Youth Theatre, Adult Ballet classes, etc.
