IOAS was established by IFOAM -Organics International to develop the means of providing the first organic accreditation service. We are now recognised for our continuing expertise and credibility and work with certification bodies, governments and private scheme owners world wide. As a not for profit organisation, our objective is to help build trust and market confidence in order to further the growth of organic and sustainable markets. We aim to encourage the development of organic and ecologically-sound methods of production, which respect the environment and the rights and welfare of everyone all over the world. IOAS is a signatory of the Multilateral Recognition Arrangement for Product certification operated by the Asia Pacific Accreditation Cooperation (APAC) which operates within the framework of the International Accreditation Forum (IAF).
