The Institute for Bioengineering and Bioscience (iBB) is a Research Unit from Instituto Superior Técnico that aims to merge biological, chemical and engineering disciplines to tackle main global challenges in the field of Life Sciences for the benefit of society. IBB’s mission is to promote curiosity-driven and applied research, to train the next generation of researchers and leaders and to transform the acquired scientific knowledge into tangible innovations for the health and bioeconomy sectors.
