Coffee House Writers was founded in May 2017 by Jess Knueppel. Unable to find a motivating and empowering writing community, she embarked on a journey to create one. Enter stage left, Coffee House Writers. In January 2022, Lisa and Ian Mildon took over this labor of love, hoping to grow the community and become a professional publication where creatives can flourish and freely share their stories. It currently operates under Mildon Enterprises, LLC. Our goal is to maintain our supportive community where writers can be their most open and vulnerable in order to share their most heartfelt and candid stories. Our editors strive to educate our writers to aid them in their craft. We take great pride in our sense of community, kindness, and comradery between writers and admin alike. Our writers have their articles published weekly or biweekly in our Coffee House Writers Publication. We also have a Poetry Department where writers and editors alike can participate in a classroom setting, learning the finer nuances of this unique storytelling.
