#Pradoswines are the result of generations 👨👩👧👧 devotedly dedicated to our family vineyards in Campo de Borja 📍. After having dedicated body & soul to the land, we could not fail when it comes to winemaking and we chose the most difficult yet exciting road to premium elaboration 🔝. In 2006, Aibar family joined forces with Axial Vinos 🤝 to kick start a project entirely based on craftsmanship ✔. A very small winery that was born to stay small and to stay artisanal where wine is elaborated as it used to be made by our grand-parents: in open vats, with traditional grape trading by feet 🦶🍇 and making the most of the great weather conditions given at the foothills of Moncayo Mountain ⛰ in Aragón 📍. We risked to build a winery lacking of artificial acclimatization that, furthermore, is not connected to the mains power supply. In Bodegas Pagos del Moncayo we’re hardly connected with nature 🌍 and still at the mercy of it: the strong wind of Aragon - “El Cierzo” 🌬 comes through the open windows to regulate its temperature keeping the wine stable until the next harvest and Campo de Borja’s natural wealth in sunshine 🌞 is made energy thanks to the use of solar panels. As Mies van der Rohe used to say “less is more” and we have showed the world that this is not only effectively applied in architecture but also in winemaking. Thanks to the controlled slowdown of the wine elaboration processes 🍷, Pagos del Moncayo got to be the EU referent in sustainable winemaking ♻ giving birth to a wine family that guards jealously the essence of its origin and conveys the drinker 👩🦰 directly to the land of Campo de Borja ❤📍.
