New Business Networking
www.newbusinessnetworking.comNew Business Networking runs innovative and effective business networking events in Yorkshire for business people who really value their networking time. I started the company because I was fed up of driving back from networking meetings that offered little or no structure, where attendees were passing each other like ships-in-the-night (typically contacting less than 10% of the people in the room). I thought about what I wanted from a business networking meeting, then implemented it. The result is that our meetings are fun and effective. We register attendees as they arrive and give them a number (useful later in the meeting when we generate leads). Everyone files ALL business cards in registration order (BizCardBuzz is also a useful icebreaker) and after 20 minutes we print-out the attendee spreadsheet (name, company, phone, website, email, product or service). This is the database for the meeting that people can make notes on (the biz-card file is for the glove compartment after the meeting). Next, we air a few hot topics (TopTips or GiveAndGet) or let an expert take the floor. Everyone then meets everyone (Twister) or, for larger numbers, most people (TableNetworking). Not a time to tell your life-story, the object is to put names to faces and find meaningful contacts. During SpeedLeads, we project your Ideal Prospect Description on-screen and ask everyone who they know. We get 3-7 leads per person. We finish with 15 minutes of high-quality informal networking.
