www.cwforg.comThe Civilian Welfare Foundation is a non-profit, non-Government organisation, which caters to Individuals who can stand up for themselves and prove their mettle as human beings. Founded by a few like-minded enthusiasts, CWF started functioning in May, 2011 and finally on 29th of December 2011, we were officially registered under West Bengal Registration Act XXVI of 1961 by the name Poddar Park Civilian Welfare Foundation. Civilian Welfare Foundation: Is a non-profit, non-hierarchical youth based organisation. The main focus is to integrate different social issues like disability rights, LGBTIQ rights, healthcare and sports, child rights and adopt an inclusive approach towards equity and equality. Some of the main projects in the last five years have focused on promoting paralympics and organizing Paralympic sports at various levels; and research on disability issues, accessibility of right to education (RTE Act) for children and child laborers of Peyarabagan, the second largest slum of Kolkata; Call against Patriarchy‟ campaigns; research and media advocacy on basic healthcare for transgender people.
