PAPADOPOULOS PUBLISHING is a family owned company, founded in 1953, from a family who worked in the book industry since 1912, in Asia-minor, in France and in Thessaloniki. Today the company is managed by Yiannis K. Papadopoulos, the grandson of the founder, employing more than 35 full-time employees and many free-lancers. Offices and distribution center are situated in Metamorfossi Attikis (a suburb 10 km north of Athens) at privately owned buildings of 2.000 m2 of surface. In addition, we operate a bookshop / showroom with our own publications, situated in dowtown Athens (Massalias str 14). More than 100 new titles are published every year, both for adults and children, in a variety of categories, ranging from childrens' picturebooks of high aesthetic value and licenced characters' books, to nonfiction and fiction for adults. Recently our history, current affairs and political memoirs titles have achieved great prominence. In total, our lists includes more than 1500 titles in print. Our books can be found in virtually every bookstore, in Greece and Cyprus. We have a leading market share in bookshop chains, supermarkets and discount chains. Our goals are to uphold our brand name to modern parents, to establish a firm presence with nonfiction titles and to promote our authors internationally.
