The Unit of Technology of Fuels, short TEER, has started its work in August of 2009. The previous institution has been the „Lehr- und Forschungsgebiet für Kokereiwesen, Brikettierung und Thermische Abfallbehandlung“. We teach and research in the area of thermal, physical and chemical conversion of fossil, renewable and secondary energy carrier. Special focus lies upon the reduction of harmful environmental effects. The reduction of airbourne pollutants is especially important to us. We focus our research on real-world application. By all our scientific curiosity we do not lose the practical value of our results. We see ourselves as a partner and service provider for industrial companies. Our services reach from conceptual planning all the way to the characterisation of different combustibles.
