The OTW is an all-volunteer organization, and we have nearly 1000 of them across the globe. We have been an entirely virtual workplace since our inception in 2007. We recruit in various areas such as coding, systems administration, technical support, human resources, legal, finance, fundraising, webmasters, translation, documentation, graphic artists, platform design, strategic planning, editors and proofreaders, academic reviewers, wiki management, and communications. In addition, we have unique positions such as tag wranglers, who classify content at our most used project, the Archive of Our Own.
