Bahonar Technical and Engineering College of Shiraz
bahonarshiraz.tvu.ac.irThis facility was founded as a Technical and Engineering College back in 1980, in an area of 250,000 square meters in the south eastern part of Shiraz, Iran. This is a public school subsidized by the government and offers associate degree and Bachelor degree programs and serves male students only. This college along with other technical colleges throughout Iran were unified under the "Ministry of Science, Research and Technology" in 2011, and as of now, are functioning as Universities. This college has about 5000 students and can be safely said that is one of the best colleges in the country in terms of facilities, faculties and scientific progress. Some of the facility's features are: Banks, dorm facilities, student cafeteria, mosque, bread bakery, hair salon, shops, telecommunications center , computer and internet labs, library and audiovisual unit. The Bahonar Technical and Engineering College of Shiraz accepts only male student in two shifts annually: Day shift and evening shift. The faculty used to be a member of the University of Shiraz before the Islamic revolution in 1979 where students would complete 2 years of theory coursework, and if they successfully completed their theory credit hours, they would enter this faculty for 2 more years in order to complete practical/occupational credit hours.
