The American Muslim Bar Association (AMBA) is a nationwide, representative body of lawyers, legal professionals, and aspiring attorneys across racial, ethnic, and gender lines, united in our commitment to the practice of law and the pursuit of justice in both the public and private spheres. AMBA's work is motivated by principles of the Ahlul Bayt, the family of the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon them), which include love, compassion, mercy, and justice. AMBA's six standing committees - advocacy, policy, mentorship, legal resources, education, and judiciary - has four main objectives: - To provide vulnerable members of society with legal resources; - To advocate for those who seek justice and equality under the law; - To mentor the next generation of Muslim American lawyers; and - To provide our communities with the legal education they need.
