The xxpress thermal cycler is compatible with a unique consumable called the xxplate. xxplates are SBS compatible (standard microtiter plate format and well spacing) and so can be pipetted in to using any auto-pipette robot. xxplate have extremely low thermal mass, which combined with resistive heating technology, enables the plate to undergo ultra-rapid heating and cooling. BJS Biotechnologies developed an innovative thermal control algorithm able to maintain the thermal uniformity at ±0.3°C or better across all samples during cycling. xxpress operates using an intuitive user interface designed by biotechnologists with built-in MIQE support.
