The U.S.-China Health Summit is dedicated to the advancement of global health by promoting the exchange of knowledge, ideas, and experiences of healthcare leaders from the U.S., China, and other countries through high-level strategic dialogues, leadership development programs, and applied research. Our scope of work includes: - Annual Health Summit - Leadership Development Programs - Think Tank and Research - Young Health Innovators Forum Initiated by Yuanli Liu, the Director of "Harvard China Initiative", and Dr. Jing Ma at Harvard Medical School, the U.S.-China Health Summit was inaugurated at Harvard University in September 2011. Assistant Secretary for Planning and Evaluation at the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services Sherry Glied and Chinese Minister of Health Zhu Chen joined the conference and delivered important keynote speeches. Since the Summit's inauguration, thousands of policymakers, academic experts, business leaders, and others who have interests in the rapidly transforming global health sectors have participated and benefited tremendously from these direct dialogues and discussions. The Summit has been alternately hosted by China and the U.S. and has received the continued support of The National Health and Family Planning Commission of China and the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services as a key forum for promoting exchange in the health field. From 2011-2016, it has been on the 3rd to the 7th China-U.S. Strategic and economic dialogue (S&ED) list. It has also been on the 6th U.S.-China consultation on people-to-people exchange (CPE) outcome list and discussed on the 2016 7th CPE list (June, 2016).
