The Foundation hopes to support new, innovative research and information products for the public. For example, the Foundation may endeavor to identify free and secure (encrypted) personal data storage methods to allow citizens, patients and/or their caregivers to obtain and retain their own medical record copies safely. A second example the Foundation may explore is potential use of social networking tools to enhance communication within communities of citizens who share common challenges or needs.
