Vantaa Youth Council is a non-political organization from Finland consisting of 30 hardworking and influential teenagers, who are aged between 14-19. All of the members were voted to the council by the youth of Vantaa in elections which are held every two years. The Youth Council of the City of Vantaa acts as a trustee for young people and acts to raise important issues for young people. Representatives of the council are 13-20 years of age. Youth council representatives have the right to attend and speak at the Vantaa City Council meetings, boards and area committees. The Youth Council is politically non-aligned. Youth Council has meetings monthly. The Youth Council makes initiatives in the municipality, gives statements, participates in various working groups and organizes events for young people.
