The Thin Red Line Foundation
www.thethinredline.worldThe THIN RED LINE is a youth movement that seeks to empower the worldwide population towards more sustainable practices by creating initiatives that can help to save and preserve the biodiversity of the 13 countries around the Equator Line. To support this project, we have been establishing partnerships with Universities and Educational faculties in all 13 countries, Ecuador, Colombia, Brazil, Sao Tome and Principe, the Republic of Congo, Gabon, the Democratic Republic of Congo, Uganda, Kenya, Somalia, Maldives, Indonesia, and Kiribati, to work in different programs according to their specific needs and realities. We want you to Underline your commitment and help us bring balance and sustainability to a neglected region of the planet, facing a future that will affect us all at the current rate of destruction. To reach our goal, we must understand our planet’s main threat: Humankind. Our mission is to not only change the way we interact with the environment but also change the way that people view themselves. Humankind has produced five significant issues that endanger the life of our planet: • Climate Change → It has already happened. What we do next to prepare for what is to come is vital. • Deforestation → Whilst not yet irreversible, is reaching a tipping point. • Artisanal Mining → It causes severe soil degradation and loss of essential soil nutrients in the area. • Illegal Fishing → A crucial driver of global overfishing. It threatens marine ecosystems and puts food security and regional stability at risk. • Wildlife Trading → It can diminish species populations and cause local or global extinction. To support this project, we will establish a partnership with the universities of these 13 countries to work in different programs according to their specific needs and reality. Underline your commitment and help us bring balance to our life support!
