Scuter
www.scuter.coMobility as a Service has revolutionized the need for vehicle ownership, especially in cities. And yet there is a major market segment and huge potential profitability that has not been addressed by sharing operators who, because unlike Tesla, they do not control their core technology - the vehicle. Scuter has addressed this problem through a long r&d phase by designing, testing and manufacturing a unique and proprietary vehicle in the new minimobility segment, that is as safe as a microcar, while being as agile but more stable in inner city traffic than a bike or a scooter or a moped. It is rugged and long lasting as a durable infrastructure to support a profitable business model, and it will be “softwareized”: continuously evolved and developed by our engineers with new releases, improving and adding features. Scuter's sharing solution bundles a purpose-built proprietary software platform and its three wheeled electric moped, with a weather protection clear view canopy and a seat with a seat belt. In European countries it can be license-plated to be driven by drivers from 14 years of age without a helmet but still being safe, and can be freely parked on the streets, so that It can be driven directly to the driver destination and left there. Scuter's vision is to not only run the most efficient and effective micro mobility service, but also to deliver a platform business model that enables a many-to-many interaction through use of the infrastructure, to deploy several additional services (heat maps, city twin, surveillance, targeted advertising, infotainment, load balancing for smart grids,…) and scale the business exponentially, thorough an innovative integration of web3 and the the power of decentralization. The company has recently raised €3M of debt and equity funding, after validating four generations of prototypes, and has outsourced manufacture of the first 200 industrialized vehicles for launch its b2c service in an Italian city in Q1 2023.
