The idea of starting a business can be daunting, especially if you’re just starting out. Luckily, at SYST (Shropshire Youth Support Trust), and in partnership with LYST (London Youth Support Trust) we have over 14 years of experience of helping young people get their businesses up and running. Our in house Business Centre Manager is on hand to offer advice and mentoring as and when required. We also have access to experienced entrepreneurs who can mentor our young entrepreneurs when needed. Our mentors offer advice on a range of topics, including marketing, finance, business planning, budgeting and time scales. Each one of our centres offer supportive environments where you can network with like-minded entrepreneurs, meet new people, gain new ideas and business opportunities. Our Youth Enterprise Centre is located in Hazeldine House at Telford Town Centre, which means it is easily accessible via bus, train or car. Within the centre are 14 offices available to be rented at subsidised costs on a monthly basis. In addition to this we have a shared workspace area which provides people with a professional space to work in and an office away from home. You can pay daily or monthly and have access to computers, desks and meeting space. We also have access to a conference room which can be utilised for workshops, networking events, conferences etc. The Shropshire Youth Support Trust is a charity that gives young people the space and support they need to get started in business. With your business plan complete, you will have done your market research, tested your idea and secured funding, you should be ready to start your business.
