By the end of 1957, from the work and vision of Mr. Aldo Sbravati, Indústria de Cartão Sbravati Ltda. was founded, located in the heart of the state of Santa Catarina at the city of Curitibanos, in Brazil. Today, with a total area of 20.000 m², being 9.000 m² of gross floor area, the company employs 110 associates and has a capacity of processing 1500 tons of paper per month. In 2008, Cartão Sbravati began manufacturing spiral paper tubes. The initiative focuses on serving the market demands from tube, plastic films, textiles and other industries. By producing its own paper for the tubes, the quality standard of the final product is reassured. The company has already over 50 years of tradition, supplying products for the market of paper barrels, tubes and angles, besides manufacturing its own tubes. Cartão Sbravati has cutting edge equipment, qualified personnel and a tight quality control to produce its high quality paper and tubes. Company The company recycles over 15'000 tons of paper every year, using only recycled paper fibers. To assure the origin of the timber used, the steam generation relies on wood chips produced from the company's own reforestation. The process water stays in a closed-loop circuit, being recycled and reused. If the water is eventually returned to the river, it undergoes a water treatment system to remove any remaining paper fibers.
