Since 1984, there has been no Department of Defense issued product improvement programs (PIP) sought for the SAW or squad automatic weapon. Conversely, there have been numerous PIPs issued for other small arms fielded by today’s military forces. MGA has bridged that gap with its innovative multi-caliber design of the squad automatic weapon. The MGA SAW™ is a fully modernized and re-engineered open bolt squad automatic weapon system compatible with existing SAW systems, yet supporting a wide array of modern accessories. The MGA SAW-K™ has taken the reliability and operability of the MGA SAW and added a compact form factor making it easily maintained and deployed by any small unit force element. The SAW-K redefines the limits of today’s belt-fed light machine gun weighing 25% less and measuring 30% shorter than any of today’s SAWs. Finally, MGA has engineered a closed bolt weapons system that will accept registered HK automatic trigger packs. MGA platforms are available in numerous calibers including: 5.56, .300Blk, 6.8SPC, 7.62x51 and .260. A wide range of accessories and multi-caliber conversions kits are available.
