The USC Society of Public Diplomats (SPD) is the nation's first student-run organization in the field of public diplomacy. It has both student and alumni members that are connected across time, distance, and ideas. As an organization, SPD seeks to promote the field of public diplomacy as a practice and study, provide a forum for dialogue and interaction among practitioners of public diplomacy and related fields in pursuit of professional development, and cultivate fellowship and camaraderie among members. SPD members are leading practitioners in the field of public diplomacy and produce incredible scholarly material at the University of Southern California's Master's of Public Diplomacy Program. SPD is also the parent organization of Public Diplomacy Magazine, a prestigious publication with readership in 99 countries and writers who are diplomats, state officials, and industry leaders.
