John Ewing Company was founded in 1946 as a manufacturer of animal feed. It operates today, as it has for most of its existence, from the town of La Salle, Colorado, in a rich agricultural region near Greeley, about an hour north of Denver. With the creation of Formula 707 in 1960, John Ewing Company became a major player in the equine nutritional supplements market and today manufactures an entire line of Formula 707 horse health products.
